Pop is fun and so it is best paired with a fun subject. The music is very well produced as you would expect from Disney but without the sentimentality of their movie songs. Most of the songs are short the entire album of 18 songsis only 29 minutes. This is just well executed music with fun lyrics and careless abandonment jovial gayety. Hot Lava is very Rocklobster-esque. Castaway and coconuts are a little bluesy and almost sad but not quite. “What’s Cookin’ Smee” is gross. There is no hint of political correctness or lack there of. No combersom moral messaging or feminist powerful princesses. Its just simply good fun.
