Amadou and Mariam – Dimanche a Bamako

West african french lyrics with reggae grooves and superb Latin-flavored guitar blends for a very nice popish feel. The harmonies of the voices is addictive even though I couldn’t understand them. You get the since they are signing about serious things but with a hopeful Marly feel.  It just works.  The highlight of the work for me was Politic Amagni. The album is great to play in the background while working or reading.
